Hi Claire and Roger, Bob and I are getting more comfortable dancing every week.  We love it. I can’t thank you enough for being soooooooo patience with us.  We realize the torture that we have put you through.  Last night things just seem to be coming together nicely.  We are actually working on the timing of the steps and what to do with our hands.  Bob is really starting to take the lead.  This has been the best thing for us to do.  A year later and we still look forward to each lesson.  I know that it is because of you and Roger.  See you Wednesday. My husband and I started taking social ballroom dance classes with Roger and Claire just over a year ago and have thoroughly enjoyed the classes. We like that Roger and Claire teach as a couple because we get to see the man’s part, the woman’s part and how it is supposed to fit together before trying it ourselves. We also get to see how smooth and graceful a dance is supposed to look which gives us the incentive to practice. We enjoy how Roger and Claire teach new steps along with refining old steps because we don’t get bored with doing the same things over and over, yet we still have plenty of opportunity to smooth out areas that are rough. Most importantly, Roger and Claire insert a lot of humor into the lessons making the classes a lot of fun. The humor also tends to diffuse my frustration with my own incompetence at not getting steps right the first time through and lets me regain focus on the lesson. We also get a lot of positive feedback, which always makes learning more fun. We not only enjoy our Social Ballroom Dance Classes with Roger and Claire, we enjoy seeing Roger and Claire at the various dances we attend on the South Shore. We started taking ballroom lessons a couple years ago. In that time, dancing has gone from a one night a week "something different to do activity", to something we practice at home and spend many weekend evenings enjoying. Much of our enjoyment stems from the enormous improvement in our skill level, something that can only be attributed to the quality of our instruction. Roger & Claire come to each class with "boundless" enthusiasm and that is infectious. They know how to break down each dance, so that anyone can follow the steps. If you want to do something as a couple, something you don't need to spend a lot of money doing, and something you can enjoy 12 months a year - try dance, and if you are going to try, these are the two people you should call! If you've taken lessons elsewhere and were frustrated we recommend giving this couple a chance to teach you. They have a real talent for breaking down steps and communicating them to you in a simple manner. Men, don't be anxious! Dear Roger and Claire We enjoyed and learned much from your lessons, and from your warm, cheerful and upbeat personalities. Because of all this, we got more enjoyment out of the dances we attended. Murray now is limiting his activity because of shotness of breath. Hopefuly we will see you both at some dance funtion soon, if only as spectators enjoying the graceful gyrations of others, many of them undoubtedly more skilled and graceful because of your effective and friendly instruction. When dance lessons were suggested, I thought, 'here we go again'. It's tough to admit it, but, it has been a very positive experience. Roger and Claire are very skilled teachers who can take what seems to be a difficult dance movement and break it down into small, easily comprehended pieces that are quickly learned by the students. We have loved taking Ballroom dance lessons with Claire and Roger! We have attended several classes with them at the Community Center in Hingham, Ma. We look forward to this "Date night" time for the two of us. It's alot of fun. We have enjoyed the results while being at black tie events and weddings and being out there and dancing. So, well past our son's fantastic wedding, we are still enjoying our dancing lessons with Roger and Claire. They are able to break down every dance into simple steps and then they have the patience to help us all put it together. And the bonus is that there is lots of humor as they make it fun and keep us laughing. I listened to an excellent interview with Roger and Claire on the Jordan Rich Radio Show. They are very knowledgeable about teaching beginners the joy of ballroom dancing. They are quite pleasant and very patient with beginner students. They break down the fundamental and basic elements of ballroom dance steps so that anyone can learn to dance with ease and enjoyment.
